Meet our team!

Our philosophy is to develop a strong relationship between our amazing, dedicated pet care team and pet owners to ensure the healthiest and happiest life for all our beloved pets.

Dr. Timothy Julian

VETERINARIAN

Dr. Julian is the owner and Head Veterinarian at Spadina Animal Hospital since January 2015.

He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2011 and has been helping out cats and dogs ever since. Dr. Julian is an advocate of integrative medicine and working alongside pet parents to provide the best possible health care to our canine and feline friends.

When Dr. Tim is not helping pets, he's enjoying long walks with his loving wife Sophie, their two adorable children, and their gentle giant Great Dane Pennie; who are all animal lovers too!

Dr. Brittany Haughton

VETERINARIAN

Dr. Haughton was born and raised just outside of Toronto. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014. After graduation, she moved to the U.S. and practiced veterinary medicine in a few cities. After five years, she moved back home and is very excited to be working at Spadina Animal Hospital.

Dr. Haughton has a wide variety of veterinary interests, including surgery, dentistry and internal medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Haughton plays underwater hockey and enjoys spending time outdoors. She currently lives in Toronto with her husband, her dog Ruby, and her cat Snickers.

Kara

REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

As our resident RVT, Kara is responsible for our treatment area, surgical suite and technical equipment which she keeps running in top shape. Her friendly and easy-going demeanor also helps our visiting patients stay relaxed when they’re in the hospital.

When she’s done helping dogs and cats stay healthy, she can be found on the dance floor flaunting her salsa skills or at home making a vegan salsa with her Yorkie, Zoe and her cat, Tofu.

Sarah

RECEPTIONIST AND VETERINARY ASSISTANT

If you’ve noticed a very exuberant and always smiling face when you show up at the clinic, that’s probably Sarah. Always willing to go the extra mile for pets and people, she puts her heart into everything she does.

When Panda is not manipulating her into giving her treats, she might be at home with her two furry white cats: Casper and Sophia.

Luz

RECEPTIONIST AND VETERINARY ASSISTANT

A natural animal lover, Luz is fearless and able to handle any animal with ease no matter how sharp the claws or big the teeth. Luz is a Registered Veterinary Technician in training and constantly honing her new found skills and knowledge at the hospital.

Her home zoo includes Rocky the dog, Handsome Jack the ball python and her four geckos: King, Charlmeleon, Geico and Ziggy.

Chelsea

RECEPTIONIST AND VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Growing up on a farm, Chelsea has been surrounded by animals her whole life. She even catnapped her three crazy kittens, Buddy, Princess and Missy, from a farm ten years ago.

If her dog Hunter isn’t taking her on another adventure, she might be found at a concert or eating at a trendy new downtown restaurant.

Lora

RECEPTIONIST AND VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Lora knows how to make your pets feel welcome when they arrive at the clinic by greeting them with their favourite treats. Lora is studying in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology and hoping to get into Veterinary School after graduation.

She shares home with Custard the bichon-poodle, who's also her favourite walking companion.

Panda

THE CLINIC CAT

Shy and reserved at first, Panda can often be found strutting around the clinic and showing off her curves to all the feline and canine guests that arrive.  Since she arrived from a rescue shelter, she made herself home at the clinic instantly and found her way to her coworkers' hearts.

Come say Hi to Panda, she is always very happy to welcome cats and dogs into her home.
